Management
requires that you outsource payroll and has identified ADP as your vendor.
You've looked at ADP's HR offering and found it to be less robust than
you expected. Are there other options?
Here's the only one you need to know – OPEN4's acclaimed HRIS now interfaces
with ADP's payroll.
All employees are hired, fired, and terminated in OPEN4's HR system. Pay
changes and job changes are also updated in OPEN4. The information that the
payroll system needs is then passed to ADP. This facilitates the creation
of ADP records necessary to create new employees or to ensure proper payroll
processing.
Conversely, after payroll checks are written, OPEN4 extracts pay and deduction
information from the ADP check records to update OPEN4's human resource records.
A simple fields list provides the linkage and interprets the data as it is
passed between the systems to keep employee information accurate and up-to-date
on both systems.
The following OPEN4 events trigger the sending of appropriate information
to ADP.
- New Hire
- Hire applicant
- Terminate an employee
- Job change
- Pay change
- Benefit change
- Employee transfer
A database table stores the interface transactions that
instruct ADP on what to update. These transactions
can be retained for historical purposes or purged on demand.
All transactions that feed ADP follow guidelines documented
in the ADP PC/Payroll for Windows Data Exchange Guide.
